Frequently asked questions

How do streaks work?

Your current streak is the count of consecutive days, ending today (or yesterday if you haven't checked in yet today), on which you've marked a habit done. Miss a day and the streak resets — your longest-ever streak is kept separately so you don't lose the record.

What does Pro unlock?

Free gives you up to 3 active habits and 7 days of stats history. Pro removes both limits, unlocks the four coloured themes (Forest, Sunset, Ocean, Lavender), and shows the full streak heatmap. Everything else — the focus timer, daily reminders, streak math — works identically in both tiers.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. It's a one-time purchase. You pay once and the unlock is permanent on the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.

I bought Pro. Now I'm on a new device and it's locked again.

Tap "Restore purchases" in Settings (or on the paywall). Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID or Google account you used for the original purchase. The store re-grants the entitlement at no additional charge.

Why aren't my habit reminders firing?

First, open Settings inside the app and check the "Notifications" tile. If it says "Off — tap to enable" or "Blocked in system settings", follow the prompt to grant permission. On Android 13 and newer the OS requires you to approve notifications explicitly; on iOS you may have denied the system prompt during onboarding.

Will my data sync between my phone and tablet?

No. Streak Day is intentionally local-first — your data lives on the device it was created on. We don't run servers, accounts, or cloud sync. Your phone's OS may include the database in its own iCloud / Google backup, which can move it to a replacement device, but that's the only mechanism.

How do I delete a habit?

Long-press the habit on the main screen and confirm "Archive". Archived habits stop appearing on the list but keep their history. To remove them permanently, go to Settings → "Archived habits" and tap the bin icon. Permanent delete also removes all completion history for that habit.

Why does the paywall say "Billing unavailable on this device"?

That means the app couldn't reach the platform store to load the Pro product. The two common causes are: (1) you're running a sideloaded build that isn't signed in to a Play or App Store account, or (2) you're offline. If you're online and signed in, give it a minute and reopen the paywall.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, so refunds go through them directly. For Apple, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, use Google Play's refund help. If those don't work for you, email us and we'll do what we can.
