Streak Day

Privacy Policy

Streak Day is a local-first app. We don't run servers that store your data. The short version: nothing about your habits, timer sessions, streaks, or settings ever leaves your phone unless your phone's operating system itself decides to back it up.

Who this policy is from

What data the app stores

All app data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database that only Streak Day can read. This includes:

We do not collect, transmit, or have any access to any of this data. If you uninstall the app, the data is removed from your device.

In-app purchases

The optional Pro unlock is processed by the Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android) using their built-in payment systems. We do not see your payment method, billing address, or any other purchase details. We only receive a confirmation that an entitlement is active, which we store as a single boolean flag on your device.

Apple and Google each have their own privacy policies covering payment processing. Please refer to those policies for how those companies handle your purchase information.

Operating-system backups

Your device's operating system may include the app's local database in its own backup mechanism (iCloud Backup on iOS, Google Drive backup on Android). Those backups are governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies respectively, and are not something Streak Day controls or has access to. You can disable per-app backups in your device's system settings if you prefer.

Children's privacy

Streak Day is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because we do not collect data at all, there is nothing for a child or parent to request deletion of from us.

Data sharing

We do not share data with third parties because we do not have any of your data to share. The only third parties involved in the app are Apple (App Store, StoreKit) and Google (Play Store, Play Billing), and only when you make a purchase.

Your rights

Even though we do not hold any of your personal data, if you live in a jurisdiction that grants data-subject rights such as access, correction or deletion (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you can exercise them over the data on your device by editing or deleting habits in the app, by clearing app data in your system settings, or by uninstalling the app.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where the change is significant, surface a notice in the app. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
